Static PASS, host still fails
Exactlane Preflight checks the static contract against a caller-provided snapshot. MCP Inspector checks discovery and often invocation in a different client. Neither is a live Claude Code listing run.
Symptom
- Preflight report verdict
PASS(or Inspector looks healthy). - Claude Code still drops tools, lists a subset, or rejects schemas.
How to judge
Differential: treat three layers separately.
- Wire / Inspector: does
tools/listreturn the tools? - Static Preflight: do the declared schemas fit your workflow requirements under Exactlane’s fixed profile?
- Host: does Claude Code accept and list those tools after its own filters?
If (1) and (2) look fine and (3) fails, you are past what free static Preflight claims to answer. That gap is exactly what the paid live Claude Code compatibility check investigates.
Host / version notes
Public paid offer: Claude Code live only — US$150 Compatibility Check, or US$300 with a bounded pull request. Details: Services.
Related symptoms: Inspector lists, Claude Code zero, bracket keys, schema combinators.
Next step
Run free Exactlane Preflight for the static contract. If Claude Code still drops or rejects tools after a PASS — or you already know you need a live host run — the public paid offer is the Claude Code Compatibility Check (US$150) or Check + Bounded Fix (US$300).
